Good Bye For Now DC

Wow....

What a city DC is!!!! I have enjoyed walking the city (of course not in every corner of the city) and I have met some fascinating gentlemen here! The energy in DC is very fast-paced and a bit chaotic for me (living near the ocean as I do there is definately more calmness to my daily life) but it is great in doses.

Being a "foody" type person I enjoyed trying a few of the MANY great restaurants DC has to offer. Since I cherish "QUALITY" over quantity in every aspect of my life and I don't want to pay over-inflated prices for things I enjoy the challenge of finding great places and bragging about them to my friends (or anyone who is interested in my opinion). My top two favorites would have to be "Afterwords Cafe" and "Hanks Oyster Bar". The seafood at these two joints were simply divine! Since I am a BOOK LOVER the bookstore, Kramerbooks, (that shares space with Afterwords Cafe) was actually how I found the cafe for lunch. And Zagats dining guide is how I found Hanks (luckily it was only a few blocks from my hotel so I have made a repeat visit during this trip).

Not having access to a museum that houses some of the greatest works of art in the world, the National Gallery of Art was another destination that I always make when I am in town. I try to visit rooms that I have not spent time in in the past and on this trip I took a few photos of my favorite pieces (after trying to download them for 20 min. I have given up...sorry I wanted to share them with you).

Well.....my friends.....I am off to the peach state GEORGIA! Can't wait to come back again and have some more fun. Thanks for the great time!

Emma : )
