Happy Hanukkah, Merry Christmas, Happy Kwanzaa, and Happy Festivus (all you Seinfeld fans),
I am up in the mountains (in the southeast) enjoying the chilly air, overcast skies, naked branches on the Maple trees and seeing deer roam my parent's yard in the early morning and late afternoon seeking the snack of corn feed my dad puts out for them almost everyday (I kid him about being more of an animal lover than a true hunter!).
There is nothing I enjoy more when I am at home than waking up to the smell of coffee brewing and bacon on the griddle. My father is the best breakfast maker in the world (though I wish he would leave the coffee making to me...I make the best coffee with my premium roasted organic, fair trade beans!!!) and my mom is a great cook and has taught me to appreciate making dishes from scratch.
This posting will be in honor of my parents who, despite our differences, have taught me much and love me even when I'm not so lovable.
What I have learned from my mother.....
Take pride in your appearance and your surroundings. Even though I am not one to spend most of my life in front of the mirror or engaging in the sport of "shopping" I appreciate quality clothing and shoes, manicured feet, making my surroundings colorful, warm, inviting and clean.
Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. Yes, I grew up in a house where every Sunday we went to church. I have since outgrown the idea of religion and have instead embraced spirituality. I don't seek revenge however, I do seek justice. I am generous (my mother would say...sometimes to a fault), compassionate and believe in forgiveness.
An education is invaluable. I come from a long line of educators on my mother's side of the family. Her grandmother had a college degree which was virtually unheard of in our country in her day. Though I have never obtained a college degree I have plenty of credits under my belt and I still continue to take classes I want to take for my own benefit not for anyone or anything else. I love learning and reading for personal growth and to better understand my world.
What I have learned from my father.....
Travel....Go and see the world. Because of my father's profession and my mother's work schedule my family was able to travel quite a bit when I was growing up. I am grateful for those opportunities because I grew to appreciate many places in the United States and have a curious nature for meeting new people and living an adventurous life.
Take pride in your work. Never work for someone who doesn't appreciate what you have to offer them. Do the best you can and never take shortcuts. My dad has a terrific work ethic (as my mother did prior to her retirement) is well respected and liked in his industry.
Laugh.....often and don't take life so seriously. My dad has a terrific sense of humor. Everybody likes him whether at work, home or at some restaurant miles from home. He has an approachable appearance even though he is kind of shy and likes to poke fun without hurting people's feelings. Oh, did I mention he bakes the BEST pies???
Even though I don't spend much time with my parents or family anymore I really appreciate them and will show up when needed. And even though I cannot share everything with them (they really don't care to know everything anyway...who does?) I think they respect and like me as a human being.
So.....take a moment and call someone either family member or very close friend and let them know what you have learned and appreciate about them.
Enjoy the season!
XOXOXOXOX

"FOOD" for thought....
Ok....I have to share a recent fun visit I had just before Thanksgiving with a friend. When I was in high school I remember seeing the film "9 1/2 Weeks" on HBO which features a most erotic scene of the two main characters using food and beverages to play with during their moment of intimacy! It was soooo hot!!!! I knew someday I would recreate that scene with some lucky man!
So on the Monday before Thanksgiving a gentleman friend paid me a visit to recreate the steamy movie scene. We went to the grocery store to pick up some "supplies" for our rendezvous. Our grocery list consisted of "whipped cream, chocolate syrup, honey, vanilla pudding, champagne, confectioners sugar, eggnog, and key lime pie! You can only imagine the excitement building up while strolling through the isles picking up a few unusual tasty sensual aids!!! While the throngs of frantic Thanksgiving Day cooks were grabbing cans of cranberry sauce, green beans and boxes of Stove Top stuffing my friend and I were perusing the shelves wearing grins on our faces while looking for the most unusual textures and tastes to cover our bodies with!
Upon returning to our destination we prepared our pleasure den and added a bit of mystery by blindfolding the receiver! Guessing which condiment was being drizzled on our torsos was quite exciting!!! The messier and more exotic items were saved for the bathtub! My friend and I split the key lime pie down the center and grabbed each half and slathered it on each other....the graham cracker crust felt like a salt scrub (a loofah feeling...oooo....aaaahhhh good!)...our bodies a virtual dessert dish! We quenched our thirst with the eggnog which coated my breasts quite well.
If you have not seen "9 1/2 Weeks" I suggest you rent it. Add some spice to your holiday season and HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!!

Happy Thanksgiving !!!
Wishing everyone a very grateful and peaceful turkey day!!!
I will not be with my birth tribe (immediate family) this year but rather with some of my chosen tribe this year. Let me explain. We all come from a tribe (our birth-related family) and then there are our chosen tribe....our friends we choose to spend time with.
Maybe I am no different than a lot of people, but I have a variety of friends. Some I enjoy and engage in political discussions and activities with and some are my spiritual and new age devote friends who I enjoy engaging my soul with. I pretty much run in one or the other tribe most of the time. Having had my own little business for the last couple years I have had the joy of making new friends from that endeavor and am most grateful for those new friends I have made.
Holidays for me have not always been so relaxing and enjoyable unfortunately. My birth tribe, however loving they are deep-down inside, do not fully appreciate my curious and diverse interests which stimulate my mind. Obviously if you read my blog I am not what you would call the "usual suspect". Certainly as an escort (from what I have been told by my gentlemen friends) I am also not the "usual suspect". So, having friends who appreciate the diverse person that I am and going out of their way to invite me (regardless of how long it has been since we have seen each other) to a festive Thanksgiving Day dinner makes my heart sing!!! My Thanksgiving Day this year will prove to be a very relaxing, enjoyable and memorable day!
I will be making my favorite vegetable dish to bring "Squash Casserole". I want to share a funny story about squash and me. When I was about 10 years old I hated most veggies. I hated most foods as a child (mostly red meat dishes or ethnic dishes)...that is the Aries in me! But one time I was at my aunt and uncle's house in Baltimore and when I sat down at the table (seated next to my uncle) I tried to pass the yellow squash without taking any and my uncle took the spoon and put some on my plate. He told me I had to eat some of it before leaving the table. I was shocked that someone other than my parents were dictating what I had to eat! My aunt was way too sweet to ever make me eat what I didn't want to eat. Not my uncle! So, after eating what I wanted and feeling full he reiterated to me my instructions. I reluctantly put some in my mouth and when I had a chance used my napkin to transfer the squash to and then asked to be excused from the table. After dropping off my plate I went upstairs and dropped the napkin with food in the toilet. My aunt walked by and saw what I did. I apologized to her and she told me it was ok and that I shouldn't have had to eat what I didn't want to eat.
Needless to say, my aunt is now in Heaven (I am certain she is sitting next to God!) my uncle married a woman who wears the pants in the family and I LOVE yellow squash!
Happy Thanksgiving !!!

To All The Men I've Loved Before....thanks Willie
Today I awoke feeling really good about my life. I began thinking about all the wonderful people I have met over the last year who have shared positive experiences with me (sometimes more than once) and helped me learn about men as well as myself. Because of them (you know who you are) I am a better person!!!
What have I learned so far?
1. Just because a man or woman fulfills their physical needs and desires with a stranger does not diminish the true love they hold for their partner.
2. Love is not a limited commodity and doesn't have to be held "exclusively" for only one person.
3. Being selective, following rules and using instincts has helped make all my experiences positive.
4. Money should never be the most important factor in making decisions. Turning down opportunities in the short term won't stop the flow of prosperity if one follows their instincts & respects themselves. Self respect is priceless !!!
5. Do what you love and the money will follow.....and.....follow your bliss!!!!
6. Be compassionate and non-judgemental....always!!!!
7. Always...always express gratitude...it keeps the river of prosperity flowing!
8. Help others out....don't fear competition...there is plenty to go around!
9. Men and women in general are far more bisexual than our society is willing to admit.
10. I wasted a lot of years feeling afraid of men only to discover there was nothing to feel afraid of.
I would like to learn more about relationships, human sexuality and liberation so I am hopeful that in the next few months I will find opportunities for growth in these areas. Will keep you posted!!!
BLISSFULLY YOURS.....

Fantasies Part One
Hello there.....
Intrigued by the title??? I have been thinking lately about some of the things that turn me on and things I would like to do to add some SPICE to my "physical" activities : )
Interestingly enough my very first gentleman caller fulfilled one of my fantasies by meeting me in an elevator (glass no less which faced a parking lot!!!) ! You can imagine my nervousness when I discovered a young woman walking from her car to the the sidewalk while I prayed she would not look up and see me...naked, bare breasted with the "deer-caught-in-the-headlights" look on my face!!! It was most exciting!
If any of you have seen "Sea of Love" ....with one of my favorite actors, Al Pacino, and Ellen Barkin, the scene in the grocery store totally turns me on!!! Last week I had a gentleman friend who reminded me of Pacino in that film.
In "9 1/2 Weeks" the food in the kitchen scene with Kim Basinger and Mickey Rourke is TOTALLY HOT !!! That is definitely a roaring great time!!!! Chocolate & whip cream with pudding and jello and bananas and strawberries.....food is more than just nourishment!
Blissful Dreams!!!

Back Home Again
Well, I am back in Melbourne once again. The summer was a blast and I am glad I took the time to travel north, visit some new places, learn new things and make new friends!
I have recently been thinking about conditioning of children and the cruel re-conditioning of children approaching adulthood. Such as.......
Isn't it sad that we are trained to take naps during the day, take 2 1/2 months off a year for summer vacation, must incorporate playtime into our daily lives and learn something new everyday when we are young and then we get to a magical number, 18 (for many of us), then we are driven into a life where you punch a time card from 8 to 5 (if you are really lucky today, you only have one job only working 40 hrs. a week instead of two jobs working 50 or more hrs. a week) with an hour for lunch (nixing the nap altogether), in many workplaces you must be employed for 2 years before you even get a 2-week vacation, and the only play that adults want to engage in seem to require expensive motorized toys that do all the physical work.
Well....I have a lot on my mind these days but they are not worth mentioning. I will just sign off for now!!!

"Kiss Me...Again"
Ahhhh.....what a wonderful thought...and a great name for a most interesting film I just watched tonight. I usually do not like to tell the whole plot of a movie but in this case I must because I was drawn to the subject and want to reflect on my feelings about this film.
"Kiss Me Again" is about a young married couple (husband is a college professor and the wife works with small children in a school) who happen to witness their female roommate (an artist) engaged in a threesome and begin thinking about their own sex lives.
The husband talks his wife into bringing a woman into their sex life to see if it would add value to their lives. It did not take too much convincing for the wife to agree and they set out to find someone. A woman is found to join them. The only problem is that the husband knows this woman (she is a student in his class who is attracted to him) but pretends not to know her when she happens to respond to the newspaper ad the couple places.
The meeting leads to a sexual encounter between the three and the wife becomes more taken with the lesbian experience than she could have imagined. The two women become very close as a result but when the deceit comes to light the three lives become entangled in an emotional upheaval. After the storm settles and the wife allows herself to hear from both sides she comes to realize that the feelings between the three are deep and honest and that there must be a way to work out their problems. The film ends with the three of them walking through a park and hands begin touching....one can imagine they have worked things out (as I did) and something positive was gained from the sharing of honest loving feelings. The only thing that could have made this film positively beautiful would have been the uncensored love scenes. I am so tired of either edited love scenes or bad porn that has NO intelligent script writing and/or degrading, male dominated sex scenes.
I felt compelled to write on this topic because I have begun to rethink my views of healthy loving relationships. I have done a bit of reading in the last year about different sexual dynamics, relationships, and the spiritual and psychological philosophy of love.
Maybe my current relationship views are still immature (given my lack of experience in a long-term committed relationship) but I feel very strongly that love is something to be shared and not held exclusively to certain people at various levels. It sounds absurd to think that exclusivity can have any positive connection to the word "love". Unconditional love is indeed something that seems completely irrational and unattainable to human beings but does that mean we should not strive to seek it? And, yes, being physically loving with everyone is not to our benefit and not advisable. But why can't there be physical relationships with more than one person as long as honesty and respect is upheld?
Learning how to rethink relationships in our American society is no easy task, especially since the only way we view anything other than a 2-person (male/female) relationship as abnormal or immoral. I am waiting for Hollywood to write and produce a film or even better, a tv series about a woman seeking out-of-the-ordinary loving/sexual relationships in a positive light.
I'm ready Hollywood..... (the camera draws toward me)...in the immortal words of Nora Desmond "All right, Mr. DeMille, I'm ready for my close-up."

Intentional Living
Hmmmm....well I am sure I have peeked some interest with the title of today's blog. I'm sure you are wondering what I am talking about.
Well, one of my recent explorations into the "unknown" was a visit to an "intentional community" or "IC". Using "Wikipedia" for a clear definition it is: a planned residential community designed to promote a much higher degree of social interaction than other communities. The members of an intentional community or IC typically hold a common social, political or spiritual vision. They also share responsibilities and resources. Intentional communities include cohousing, residential land trusts, ecovillages, communes, kibbutzim, ashrams, and housing cooperatives.
After having left Bethel, NY I drove to the Hudson Valley area to visit an IC for a day or two and ended up staying for four days. I will withhold any names to "protect the innocent" : ) but will tell you that not only is the concept of "intentional communities" a very attractive idea but is one that is catching on quickly as our country becomes more and more expensive to live in.
I can only speak for myself here, but I really do seek to live my life with more free time and forgo acquiring material goods (not only does one pay an initial cost for the item but generally has to pay for the upkeep on the thing especially if it is a toy of some sort). Sharing housing and living expenses with like-minded people just seems like a "no-brainer" to me.
I know that most people, when conceptualizing "intentional living" have thoughts of "Jonestown" and other religious "communes" of the 60's and 70's going thru their minds, but just as there are negatives out there, there are also positives as well. The oldest existing IC is located in Summertown, TN...."The Farm" which was formed by a group of San Francisco hippies who traveled by school buses in 1971. Although there have been many changes (positive and negative) The Farm is still functioning and providing classes/workshops and ways of living & being that are having huge positive impacts in lives of people who really desire a more centered and peaceful way of life. I have visited there and recommend others to do so as well.
The IC home I visited was a really incredible place. I am giving serious consideration to moving into one and am putting my "feelers" out to find a home situation that would be beneficial for me and those I would live with. : ) I am particularly attracted to a farm-like environment where I could learn about growing food and learning animal husbandry. Raising chickens and learning how to make yummy cheeses would be a hoot!
For those of you who want to check out some intentional communities go to http://www.ic.org/ for locations in the US as well as around the world!!!!
Have a blissful and educational day!!!

"Mrs. Warren's Profession"
I wanted to comment on a play I saw while in Stockbridge, MA last week. I went to a beautiful old wooden playhouse "Berkshire Theatre Festival" last Thursday to see George Bernard Shaw's play "Mrs. Warren's Profession" written in 1902. Imagine, writing a play about prostitution with sympathetic tone prior to women having their civil rights recognized! I knew I had to see this play for my own eyes and I am glad I did.
I noticed during the intermission that some people left the theater and didn't return. I am confident it was not due to the acting, but rather the content of the play that caused people not to return for the rest of the show. I would like to think that it was due to a misunderstanding of the times that women were in such desperate situations that selling the use of their genitals was better economically than selling any other talents they might have had.
Today, I would like to see a play written about a woman whose views on sexuality are such that she sees her body as a temple, her personality as a goddess, and the gift of herself (mind, body and soul) to other people as just that....a gift!
The fact that the receiver of this woman's "gift" offers her a gift of currency in exchange for her time should not be seen as some ill-gotten-gains! By no means is there anything vile about the consensual interactions between two people. There are other cultures on our BIG BLUE PLANET that do not see our societal norms as right for them. And luckily, ours is not the only society on the planet!!!
After seeing this play I am so grateful for the many hundreds of thousands of women who lived before me who fought, struggled and yes, even died to give me the civil rights and a life that I do enjoy. It is my job to do my part in continuing the bettering of women's lives so that one day we will see all chosen lifestyles, workstyles, and lovestyles as acceptable in our society. Our job (men and women) is not complete, and we must learn to see activism as natural as brushing our teeth, going to work, and making love!
I highly encourage you to "Google" the play to read a bit about it. It was really wonderful and thought provoking! And then check out one of my favorite books on sexuality "Sex Matters: Sex and the Superconsciousness" by Osho. Happy Reading!!!
Have a blissful day!!!

Trying to Capture Lightning in a Bottle
I am sure you've heard the old saying....trying to recreate some memorable event can be like trying to capture lightning in a bottle. Well....this is true of my return to Bethel, NY to celebrate the 38th anniversary of Woodstock.
Times change....In my naivety I believed that my second trip back to Yasgur's farm would yield some wonderful experience...another inkling of what the original 3 days in the garden event might have been like. Well....just like most things around me....the corporate world has gobbled up yet another piece of history and is now marketing it back to us.
Yasgur's farm is now "Bethel Woods Center for the Arts". The perfectly paved roads leading to a fenced off parking lot and well-maintained sodded hillside that empties into a "4,800-seat copper-covered pavilion". This well-oiled machine of a venue has all the amenities that were missing at the original festival site....plenty of toilets (well-staffed for cleanliness and your satisfaction), a huge food concession stand with Slush Puppy frozen drinks and lots of Budweiser beer choices so you can enjoy the show, and even fixed ATM machines around the complex so you never have to worry that you will run out of money! Everything is at our fingertips...all you need is plenty of money to be able to enjoy the show.
Needless to say the show was a disappointment. Richie Havens was the opening act and it was a good performance, but the turnout was very low and the weather really changed quickly from a mild temperate evening to high gusting winds, frequent showers and a drop in temperature at least 5 degrees in a matter of minutes. By the time Arlo began I was freezing and couldn't stay outdoors. The policy of the venue is that once you leave you may not return. Harsh conditions to say the least.
I found the real party and it wasn't at Bethel Woods...it was at Hector's Inn...just down the road. A bunch of people (some of which were at the original festival 39 yrs. ago) were gathered at this groovy local bar to celebrate with free music (anyone could join in and play or sing with the bands) and they didn't mind if you brought your own beverages. The owner, Jerry, was a kinda stodgy old character & even kinda acted like he wasn't in the least bit interested in what was going on....but at some point I flashed my tanned "betty's" at him and he came alive after that! Now, he could hear the conversations and even chime in. I swear you'd have thought I did well more than flashed the old guy but hey...sometimes it doesn't take much to make someone happy...ya know? : )
It was an all-nighter and there was plenty of opportunities to "keep warm" that night, but I thought it better to pass on the kind offers.
Yes, Hector's Inn is the place to visit the next time you're passing through Bethel, NY....friendlier, cheaper, and real-down-home hippie folks!!! But for God's sake...don't let the word out.....otherwise it will end up being "Hector's Inn Center for the Arts" !!!!!
PEACE & LOVE !!!

Adios Providence & Boston
Well....I am just so frustrated with my work experience in New England...I just need to vent today.
Geez....I don't know if it is something in the water or the culture of life in the cities of New England but the experiences with gentlemen (with the exception of 2 very "in-the-moment & open" gentlemen) in Boston and Providence have been pretty un-memorable. Having people book time with me and then either not show up (and then give some lame-ass excuse like "I broke my leg and just got out of the hospital") or cancel due to having to work overtime or having a "crisis" in the family (the timing is hard to accept) within an hour of our meeting just annoys the crap out of me.
Hey.....in my Eros ad I clearly state "How you do anything is how you do everything." Maybe I am having an "intollerable moment" but I am soooo angry that I have been attracting men without integrity. What does this say about me? Good question. I think tomorrow when I check out of my room, I will go find a field somewhere along my travels to Stockbridge, MA and sit and ponder why this is happening to me at this time. I am sure I will come up with something rational and hopefully will help me look at my experience in New England differently.
I am grateful for having met a couple of very interesting men...one who shared some very political and philosophical conversations with me (and told me how the Italian men would LOVE my figure...that means a lot to me) and one who took me shopping to help me find some much needed sexy pantyhose (without anything in return). Thanks for those good memories.
To the tow-truck company "Happy to Tow" (yeah, I bet you are at $135 a tow!!!) and the meter-maid cops in downtown Providence......a little bit of philosophy I have learned early in life " What goes around comes around".
Looking forward to getting out of the cities and into the country!!!! I've got to get back to the garden!!!

Cheese & Gardens
Hello my friends...
Well, Burlington, VT was certainly a great spot on my northern trip! I attended an artisan cheese conference where I immersed myself in tasting and learning about one of the most amazing delicacies anyone can put in their mouth......I am talking about cheese of course ; ) To get a good education I registered for 2 workshops (cheese tasting- learning how to distinguish flavors properly and learning descriptive terms and the marriage of beer and cheese- a pairing of various styles of beer with a complimentary cheese....this was AMAZING!) and attended 2 events where you met with the cheese makers and sampled cheeses, butters and yogurts. We took a marvelous dinner cruise around Lake Champlain one evening and on the last day attendees were able to purchase some of the most amazing cheeses for as little as one dollar! The cheese makers did not want to have to carry their wares back home....we were happy to take them off their hands : )
Boston was a fun town. It had been 20 yrs. since I was last there and the changes were pretty glaring. I was shocked at all the skyscrapers that are now hovering over Faneuil Hall and the downtown area....it's beginning to look a lot like NYC. The North End and Cambridge Square were really charming areas. The food in the city is pretty amazing and with perfect weather I was able to walk miles around the city and enjoy my stay there. Since bookstores are one of my favorite places to hang out in I was in my glory when I stumbled upon a wonderfully radical new/used little shop on Columbus Ave called "Lucy Parsons Bookstore".
My only complaint about the city was having my car towed, in my opinion, illegally by a private tow company on a side street near Northeastern University. The tow company was hired by a condo association claiming to own the side street for condo owner parking. I would never have illegally parked in private parking if I had seen "no parking" signs posted. I really question the legality of their signs saying they "own" the street for their building residents since I am pretty confident the street was paved using taxpayer dollars...but that is something I can follow up on in a letter to the city to seek resolution). No, my life isn't all "cheese & gardens", sometimes there are wrenches thrown in to keep my life in check. : )
My purpose for being in Boston was to attend the "Beantown Diggs Community Gardens" event. I am a firm believer that community gardens are a great way to bring neighbors together, bring pride and collective ownership to a neighborhood and helps promote creativity among the people who live near them and participate in gardening. I discovered this amazing concept while living in Portland, OR and whenever I see beautiful flowers/plants/trees/herb gardens and food crops I smile ; ) At the risk of sounding like a hippie I will post lyrics from one of my favorite rock songs.... When you read them (or sing them) you will understand how gardens make me feel.....
Well I came across a child of God
He was walking along the road
And I asked him tell where are you going
This he told me
Well I am going down to Yasgur's farm
Going to join in a rock and roll band
Goin' to get back to the land to set my soul free
We are stardust,
we are golden
We are ten billion year old carbon
And we got to get ourselves
back to the garden
FLASH FORWARD....2007
Wow.......what a trip!!! I am traveling south now to Rhode Island for a few days then up to western Mass to see what I expect to be a fabulous play "Mrs. Warren's Profession" (let your imagination run wild guys!!!).
Check back in another week for the LATEST on Emma's Adventure!!!

New England in the Summertime !!!!
Well...hello my friends.... Hope you are having as wonderful a summer as I am : )
I have been playing these days in the northeast. Last weekend I was taking my clothes off in public on Martha's Vineyard at their clothing-optional beach at Gay Head. I cannot recommend this beach enough! Although the clothing preferred people like to walk past us nudists and nonchalantly glance at us, there is no hostility aimed at us by anyone or by Bible-thumpers wishing to make us "ashamed" at our nakedness : )
In fact, the artists that make their presence known at the beach are very cool!!! A photographer who teaches at a small northern private college was there both days taking photos of willing participants with his turn of the 19th century camera! And another artist takes large egg rocks and makes freestanding structures with them. They look like they must be connected to balance on top of each other!!!
Martha's Vineyard is a really charming island to explore and enjoy. I would also recommend checking out Newburyport, MA. It is a charming old waterfront town that looks like it is trapped in the early 1900's! They are celebrating their annual "Yankee Homecoming" and this year is the 50th year.....go see it if you can.
The rest of this week I am in Burlington, VT to learn about artisan cheeses at a cheese conference! Oh my how extraordinary cheese can be if you seek out the small, independently owned dairy farms!!! I am taking a cheese and beer pairing workshop tomorrow! Life doesn't get much better than this gentlemen!!!!
Next week...mark your calendar to see me in Boston, MA !!! I will be there from 8/8 until 8/12! Let me teach you what I have learned !!! : )

Juicy Explanations!
Well hello again friends!!!
Thanks gentlemen in Washington, DC who made my trip in July so special!!! You know who you are!!! ; ) What an energetically chaotic city DC is (don’t ask…just my spiritual self projecting). I do enjoy a bit of the craziness a metropolitan city can offer so I will be back for more!
Now I am enjoying a bit of the slow-lane lifestyle out in farm country in West Virginia. Very lovely part of the country and I am able to see some great hand-made art and craft items and am picking up little gift items for Christmas because I believe in supporting locally and lovingly made items to support local economies.
While visiting my new friend I browsed through his book shelf and found a very interesting book “The Art of Loving” by Erich Fromm. My fascination with personal development and the human psychology I couldn’t help but pull it from the shelf and thumb through it. I found some gems in this book and one section in particular caught my attention and felt it was worthy to share with you as I feel it helps best describe my intentions in doing what I do as an escort. I hope you will enjoy it.
“In Erotic Love (EL) there is an exclusiveness which is lacking in brotherly and motherly love. This exclusive character of EL warrants some further discussion….EL frequently is misinterpreted as meaning possessive attachment. This is, in a 2 person relationship, seen as an egotism (their experience of a union is an illusion).
EL is exclusive, but it loves in the other person all of mankind, all that is alive. It is exclusive only in the sense that I can fuse myself fully and intensely with only one other person. EL excludes the love for others only in the sense of erotic fusion (a full commitment in ALL aspects of life) but not in the sense of deep brotherly love. EL has one premise- that I love from the essence of my being and experience the other person in the essence of his or her being. In essence, all human beings are identical- WE ARE ALL ONE.”
WOW….this book, along with “Sex Matters: Sex and the Superconscience” by Osho, and “Marriage and Morals” by Bertrand Russell really helped me understand my need to be a whole person and unchained by the constraints a large society can impose on the individual (like the need to get married)! While I believe relationships have tremendous value and are important in many ways I can appreciate the freedoms being single can offer (at least at this stage in my evolving life). Being alone is very different from being lonely and I value my alone time to help me reflect and when I feel lonely I go and seek strangers to talk to if I am on the road. Anyway, a stranger is just someone I haven’t met yet! : )
Well, I am off to NY to check out the Hudson Valley area and meet some more people!
Until then…….Happy Trails!
XOXOXXOXO

Hot Times in the Old Town Tonight!!!
Well here I am again in good 'ole Washington, DC!
After traveling up the North Carolina coast I am back in DC again for some more enlivening conversation and hot coffee in bed! Of course finding stimulating company to join me in my endeavors is never a problem in this town! My problem is having to make choices so that I can get out to explore more than the hotel lobby while I am in town.
As for my time in North Carolina I enjoyed exploring new territory as well as some old spots. Ashville is still one of my favorite stops as I enjoy the youthful, funky and hippie-like atmosphere along with the wonderful simple country folks who take pride in their heritage and community. I visited the wonderful farmers market and bought some yummy heirloom tomatoes, Amish made sweet pickles and a hand carved walking stick by a gentleman who was carving them right in front of me.
Wilmington, NC was my next stop and I couldn't have picked a hotter day to get there. The hot wind made it feel like I was in an oven! Very busy beachside community reminding me of Boca Raton with the stretches of wide roads, fast drivers and over-inflated house prices!
My time in Moorehead City and Beaufort was brief but nice. The soft-shell crab at Sharpies is marvelous but the nightlife left something to be desired. Be sure to go with friends when you travel there.
The ferry to Ocracoke was wet and long. Ocracoke reminded me of Nantucket with the lovely little wood cottages, lush flowers and trees encroaching the dirt roads and very small town-like community feel. Howard's restaurant (advertising that they are open 365 days a year) serves up yummy seafood...especially the yellowfin tuna! I enjoyed camping out at the state park campground that lines the beach there just outside of town. The wide stretch of beach is great for long walks!
The ferry to Hatteras was fun and not as long as the ride to Ocracoke (only 15 min) and the visit to the lighthouse was intersting. I spent a brief time on the beach sunning myself, but unfortunately I had to keep my bathingsuit on! I can't handle maditory clothing only beaches anymore! I am planning on getting nude somewhere in New England.....I'll let you know how that goes! : )
Well.....I am going to sign off for now! : )
Stay cool!
XOXOXOXOX

Live Your Passion!!!
I am watching a tribute to Al Pacino by AFI and I am moved to share my thoughts about such a great actor. I have never met this craftsman (not yet at least) and quite frankly I haven't followed all of his films, but of those I have watched he is inspiring and gifted and deserves a mention on my blogsite (he should feel honored..hee hee).
I recall trying to watch "Scarface" in the early 80's on HBO and having to change the channel every couple minutes because of the use of the word "fuck" in every other sentence and the excessively violent scenes. I just couldn't handle such films then....but now I can watch it and as odd as it may sound, I see the strange attraction the film had and still has on cinematography fans. It is so twisted and emotionally charged it is hard to imagine an individual like Tony Montana could actually be real. The only thing scarier than the creation of Tony Montana is the mind that created the character...Oliver Stone : )
Pacino's acting is first rate and my hat is off to him for bringing to life such a deranged individual on screne. The other two films that, in my opinion, show real depth of Pacino's acting skills (that I have seen) are "And Justice for All" and "The Devil's Advocate". I just love them both!!!!
I have my homework to do in seeing more of Pacino's films... I still need to see Dog Day Afternoon, Serpico, and Panic in Needle Park. The Godfather...well....who doesn't love Pacino in those films! Passion drives this man and actor and we are all better for it! Congrats Al !

Good Bye For Now DC
Wow....
What a city DC is!!!! I have enjoyed walking the city (of course not in every corner of the city) and I have met some fascinating gentlemen here! The energy in DC is very fast-paced and a bit chaotic for me (living near the ocean as I do there is definately more calmness to my daily life) but it is great in doses.
Being a "foody" type person I enjoyed trying a few of the MANY great restaurants DC has to offer. Since I cherish "QUALITY" over quantity in every aspect of my life and I don't want to pay over-inflated prices for things I enjoy the challenge of finding great places and bragging about them to my friends (or anyone who is interested in my opinion). My top two favorites would have to be "Afterwords Cafe" and "Hanks Oyster Bar". The seafood at these two joints were simply divine! Since I am a BOOK LOVER the bookstore, Kramerbooks, (that shares space with Afterwords Cafe) was actually how I found the cafe for lunch. And Zagats dining guide is how I found Hanks (luckily it was only a few blocks from my hotel so I have made a repeat visit during this trip).
Not having access to a museum that houses some of the greatest works of art in the world, the National Gallery of Art was another destination that I always make when I am in town. I try to visit rooms that I have not spent time in in the past and on this trip I took a few photos of my favorite pieces (after trying to download them for 20 min. I have given up...sorry I wanted to share them with you).
Well.....my friends.....I am off to the peach state GEORGIA! Can't wait to come back again and have some more fun. Thanks for the great time!

Words of Wisdom from "The Prophet"
From...."The Prophet" by Khalil Gibran
Reason and Passion
And the priestess spoke again and said: "Speak to us of Reason and Passion."
And he answered saying:
Your soul is oftentimes a battlefield, upon which your reason and your judgment wage war against passion and your appetite. Would that I could be the peacemaker in your soul, that I might turn the discord and the rivalry of your elements into oneness and melody. But how shall I, unless you yourselves be also the peacemakers, nay, the lovers of all your elements?
Your reason and your passion are the rudder and the sails of your seafaring soul.
If either your sails or our rudder be broken, you can but toss and drift, or else be held at a standstill in mid-seas. For reason, ruling alone, is a force confining; and passion, unattended, is a flame that burns to its own destruction.
Therefore let your soul exalt your reason to the height of passion; that it may sing;
And let it direct your passion with reason, that your passion may live through its own daily resurrection, and like the phoenix rise above its own ashes.
I would have you consider your judgment and your appetite even as you would two loved guests in your house. Surely you would not honour one guest above the other; for he who is more mindful of one loses the love and the faith of both.
Among the hills, when you sit in the cool shade of the white poplars, sharing the peace and serenity of distant fields and meadows - then let your heart say in silence, "God rests in reason." And when the storm comes, and the mighty wind shakes the forest, and thunder and lightning proclaim the majesty of the sky, - then let your heart say in awe, "God moves in passion."
And since you are a breath In God's sphere, and a leaf in God's forest, you too should rest in reason and move in passion.
